Many of our young people in Travis County are not Ready By 21 and are facing considerable challenges.

By 2005, youth under age 18 had increased to 25% of the county’s population, with 21% living below the poverty level, up from 14% in 2000 . (U.S. Census 2000, American Communities Survey, 2005)
