Current Activities:
The Quality Assessment & Professional Development Team is engaged in the assessment and improvement of youth programming. We facilitate self and external assessments of youth programs in the Central Texas community. Assessments will begin in September 2009 and continue through until April 2010
We provide on-going professional development trainings aligned with the Youth Program Quality Assessment instrument. These trainings are designed to provide youth service providers with tools and resources to create a safe, supportive, interactive and engaging environment for optimal youth development.
Announcements:
The Quality Assessment & Professional Development Team has released the updated schedule for professional development. Please register as soon as possible for this excellent, low cost training! All sessions must have at least 10 participants. Cost is $15 to cover materials. The trainers are CTAN and RB21 representatives who have gone through "train the trainer" by the Center for Youth Program Quality. Session locations are at Austin Independent School District facilities or United Way Capital Area. Check the schedule and register online now!

Accomplishments/History:
To date we have conducted 16 program assessments and trained 68 self assessors, 18 external assessors and 5 methods trainers.
Team Meetings:
We meet during the breakout session of Ready by 21 Coalition meetings which are the second Thursday from 10:30-11:30 at Workforce Solutions, and every other Friday at 9:00 – 10:00 AM at United Way Capital Area, 2000 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
